#TakeAction this September!

September is Hunger Action Month. Hunger Action Month (HAM) is a time when hunger advocates across our nation work to raise awareness of the over 40 million Americans facing hunger. Here in South Jersey, there are 196,000 food-insecure residents, but the Food Bank of South Jersey will be coordinating and participating in events throughout the month to encourage the communities to make a charitable difference.

How can you help? Let us count the ways!

  1. Hunger Service Day

The Food Bank of South Jersey is asking volunteer groups to TAKE ACTION this September by making a donation of at least one box of food of roughly 55 cans (about 66 pounds) and a monetary donation of $250. In addition, volunteer groups will be scheduled for a half day of service between Monday – Friday 9:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm during the month of September. Please contact Volunteer Services at 856.662.4884 x 160 or email volunteers@foodbankSJ.org for more information.
