NFL Alumni Philadelphia Chapter Teams with Food Bank of South Jersey to Partner in COVID-19 Hunger Relief

NFL Alumni Association – Philadelphia Chapter and Food Bank of South Jersey Announce Partnership to Feed South Jersey’s Food-Insecure Communities

PENNSAUKEN, NJ – The Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ), South Jersey’s largest hunger-relief organization, proudly announces the NFL AlumniPhiladelphia Chapter is teaming up to support its expansive emergency COVID-19 hunger relief efforts to feed South Jersey’s food-insecure populations and support FBSJ’s hunger-relief resources, programs and services throughout 2020 – the organization’s 35th year of Feeding South Jersey.

“Many of our members want to help and we are doing our part in coordinating support for organizations who are on the front lines serving families in need during this crisis,” states Lee Woodall, President, NFL Alumni Association – Philadelphia Chapter.

“Effective immediately, the NFL Alumni – Philadelphia Chapter, is a part of our team in providing the support, compassion and community leadership only the NFL Alumni can bring to championing hunger relief,” reports Fred C. Wasiak, President & CEO, Food Bank of South Jersey. “We are so appreciative to the NFL Alumni – Philadelphia Chapter for recognizing the massive undertaking we are deploying at this time to meet a 200 percent increase in the need for vital food resources throughout our region.”

Emergency Food Boxes

Currently, the Food Bank of South Jersey is deploying emergency food boxes and increasing mobile food distributions to South Jersey communities, including the City of Camden. Leveraging its strength as South Jersey’s largest hunger-relief organization, FBSJ is expanding capacity and services to provide emergency food resources and greatly extended food distribution services to all in need during this time.
