Studying culinary arts, as well as dietetics, deepened Chef Kita’s love of cooking, bringing to her kitchen creations a vibrant focus on preparing delicious dishes to promote health and wellness, as well as food sustainability and a ‘no food waste’ philosophy.
With a true philosophy of health that the food we eat has a significant impact on our health, Chef Kita embraces creative, sustainable and preventive ways to create meals designed to help prevent or control many health problems, including obesity, diabetes and certain risk factors for cancer and heart disease.
ServSafe Certified, Chef Kita promotes the science of nutritious cooking to educate, empower and inspire people to give their bodies the nutritional care needed to generate an integrated state of wellness – mind, body and soul.
Since 2016, Chef Kita has served as an inspirational nutrition and wellness visionary for the Food Bank of South Jersey, South Jersey’s largest hunger-relief organization, and a member of the Feeding America network of national food banks.
Working to help alleviate hunger in South Jersey by teaching healthy cooking and nutritional understanding, Chef Kita is dedicated to bringing awareness to the plight of food insecurity as she shares her approach to healthy cooking and sustainable food management for one and all.
