Programs and Resources

The Food Bank of South Jersey provides food to people in need, delivers health and wellness programs, and designs sustainable solutions to help people improve their lives. The Food Bank of South Jersey operates on one simple premise: food should not be wasted when hungry people are in our midst. From this truth, we have built an effective food distribution program that annually links nearly 12 million pounds of food with more than 150 charitable food providers, such as food pantries, community kitchens and shelters to feed kids, seniors and families.

In South Jersey alone, thousands of children are food-insecure and have likely experienced what it feels like to go to bed hungry.

Seniors in South Jersey face difficult choices between eating and paying for heating or healthcare.

More than 150 emergency feeding programs access this food daily to meet the food needs of approximately 140,000 people living in food-insecure households in communities across Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

Beyond providing emergency food resources to those in need, ensuring that our neighbors in South Jersey have the tools they need to lead sustainably healthy lives is essential to our mission.
