Help Stamp Out Hunger
Right from Your Mailbox

On Saturday, May 9, you can help fight hunger in South Jersey just by leaving a donation at your mailbox.

The Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, the nation’s largest single-day food drive, is back for its 33rd year. Since its inception, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) and the United States Postal Service (USPS) have collected 2 billion pounds of food for hunger relief organizations across the country.

And right here in South Jersey, the impact is huge.

In 2025, local letter carriers collected more than 280,000 pounds of food for the Food Bank of South Jersey, which equals about 233,000 meals for our neighbors in need. This year, thanks to 250,000+ donation bags sponsored by AAA South Jersey and CSAA – and with hopes for good weather we’re aiming even higher: 300,000 pounds of food!

As reductions in federal food resources and SNAP benefit changes deepen the need across Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties, the Food Bank of South Jersey is serving more than 189,000 individuals each month. Community-driven efforts like Stamp Out Hunger have never been more critical.

Here’s how you can help our neighbors:
✅ Fill a bag with non-perishable food items (for suggestions, click here)
✅ Place it by your mailbox before your mail arrives on Saturday, May 9, 2026
✅ Your letter carrier will pick it up and deliver it to the Food Bank of South Jersey

Every can, box, and bag collected stays local helping families, children, and seniors in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

No bag? No problem.
Any reusable or paper bag will do. Most-needed items include peanut butter, pasta, rice, canned tuna, vegetables, soup, and cereal. Every box, bag, or can collected stays local – helping families in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties. You can also make a monetary donation to the drive. Every $1 donated can be turned into two meals for our neighbors.
