In order to adhere to our responsibility to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Food Bank of South Jersey is discouraging community food drives and individual drop off donations at our main office at 1501 John Tipton Boulevard, Pennsauken, NJ.
While we greatly appreciate our community’s intent to help us in our hunger-relief mission at this time, both activities create opportunities for person to person contact. We appreciate everyone’s understanding while we do our part to adhere to Center for Disease Control (CDC) and State of New Jersey recommendations for social distancing.
During this time please consider organizing a virtual food drive or volunteering to support the essential service of distributing food boxes.
If you’ve already purchased food for donation you can use our zip code locator to find an emergency feeding program near you to donate: foodbanksj.org/zip-code-locator or call 856-662-4884 ext.131 for further assistance.
The food industry makes generous donations to us, but certain important foods are often in short supply. You can help fill that gap and make a difference in the lives of hungry people. Your efforts to organize and conduct a food drive will provide nutritious, high-quality food for your neighbors in need.
We CANNOT accept previously-opened containers, repackaged or home-made items.
