The Food Bank of South Jersey, in collaboration with BMC Communications and members of the community, loaded up three tractor trailers with 22,000 pounds of food and supplies to help those in Puerto Rico who were affected by Hurricane Maria nearly two months ago.

The trucks were loaded up early Tuesday, November 7th, and then delivered the food and supplies to the New Jersey National Guard base in Mount Holly, which will then distribute the items to those in need in Puerto Rico.

Officials say even weeks after the disaster struck, the need for supplies is still critical, and the Food Bank of South Jersey is happy to do their part to help out.
