Once again, ShopRite of West Deptford has been recognized as a top fundraising store for ShopRite Partners In Caring’s annual Cheerios contest. During September’s Hunger Action Month, it raised $25,477 to combat hunger in our community, taking our five-year total to $105,000.

To celebrate that success, two of the store’s ace Hunger Fighting Heroes — Deli Manager Denise DiCristino Mick and Meat Manager Paul Freedman are featured on this year’s special-edition Cheerios box, unveiled recently in fabulous fashion.

Thanks to all who came out to help mark the occasion, including West Deptford Police Chief Sam DiSimone; the team from General Mills, our main partner in this annual endeavor; and representatives from the Food Bank of South Jersey and the Oasis Food Bank.
ShopRite is honored to join the ongoing endeavor to help the food insecure in our backyard. Since 1999, ShopRite Partners In Caring has raised more than $43 million to help feed the hungry in the communities ShopRite serves. Don’t forget to pick up the very personal Cheerios box next time you’re in the store. Denise and Paul will be happy to sign it!
