PSEG FOUNDATION AWARDS $100,000 TO FOOD BANK OF SOUTH JERSEY TO ADVANCE FEED SOUTH JERSEY PROGRAMS

Pennsauken, N.J. (October 7, 2025) – The Food Bank of South Jersey has received a $100,000 grant from the PSEG Foundation to advance its Feed South Jersey programs. Through this initiative, the Food Bank is expanding hunger-relief efforts and building long-term solutions to food insecurity across Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

“Feed South Jersey is about building the future of hunger-relief in our region,” said Fred Wasiak, President & CEO of the Food Bank of South Jersey. “With PSEG Foundation’s generous support, we can expand our reach, provide more nourishing meals, and invest in long-term solutions that help families thrive.”

The PSEG Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), invests in programs that advance equity, sustainability, and community wellbeing.

“Access to healthy, nutritious food is one of the greatest challenges many families face today,” said Calvin Ledford, president of the PSEG Foundation and director of PSEG Corporate Social Responsibility. “We’re proud to partner with the Food Bank of South Jersey on Feed South Jersey to address immediate needs while building lasting solutions for stronger, healthier communities. Only by working together can we ensure families have the resources and support they need to reliably access nourishing meals.”

The health and wellness programs funded by the PSEG Foundation through Feed South Jersey will build nutrition awareness and empower families to prepare healthy, affordable meals through interactive, evidence-based classes offered in English and Spanish. These programs support food security by equipping neighbors with the tools and knowledge to improve their overall health.

Feed South Jersey represents the Food Bank’s most ambitious effort to date, combining expanded hunger-relief initiatives, critical community investments, and a dedicated hunger relief fund to ensure South Jersey families have access to healthy food and the resources to build stability.
