Each summer, the Food Bank of South Jersey distributes meals to children struggling with food insecurity. The organization is looking for sites in Camden, Gloucester, Burlington and Salem counties to function as locations for its Summer Meals Program, which runs from June 12 to September 1.

The location can be a school, day camp, library or any place children congregate, so FBSJ can deliver nutritious breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks to local kids daily.

“Our primary focus is to ensure that all children have access to nutrient-rich and healthy food all year long,” said Val Traore, president and CEO of FBSJ. “During the summer months we work hard to bridge that nutrition gap where school programs may leave off.”

Individuals can also volunteer as site monitors or meal prep and packing assistants during the summer. For more information on the program, visit the website.
