SALEM — Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Family and Community Health Sciences and SNAP-Ed hosted an event on May 13 at the Ware Building in Woodstown to increase awareness and support around childhood hunger. Approximately 20 percent of Salem County children live in families earning below the federal poverty level and many more live in low-income families who struggle to make ends meet.
