Take action this September in the fight against hunger. Hunger Action Month is a time when hunger advocates across our nation work to raise awareness of the nearly 50 million Americans facing hunger. FBSJ will be coordinating and participating in events throughout the month to encourage the communities around us to make a charitable difference.
The Food Bank of South Jersey is asking volunteer groups to TAKE ACTION this September by making a donation of at least one box of food of roughly 55 cans (about 66 pounds) of mostly protein based foods such as: tuna, chicken, salmon, beans and a monetary donation of $250. In addition, volunteer groups will be scheduled for a half day of service between Monday – Friday 9:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm during the month of September. Please contact Volunteer Services at 856.662.4884 x 160 or email volunteers@foodbankSJ.org for more information.
